I found this counselling book to be both informative and concise. I thought, however, there could have been a more indepth coverage of basic counselling skills.go here
Counselling In A Nutshell by Windy Dryden
I believe that this primer will benefit beginners, however, its lack of emphasis on basic counselling skills and other theoretical approaches is limiting. In addition, I feel that this book will have some benefit for more experienced therapists, as well. Overall, I enjoyed reading this text and found it easy to understand.
I did find a number of typing errors in the book, but overall I do recommend it to both the layman and the practitioner. One person found this helpful.
