He is a master of description and you can tell he writes from what he knows and has experienced. The longer stories were highlights of this collection for me, but all of it was very interesting. I doubt anyone has done such an exhaustive covering of the details and depths of Northland life, or that he could be paralleled in his writings on the subject. All in all, a very satisfying read. Sep 01, Kyle K marked it as to-read Shelves: Brenda rated it it was ok Mar 13, Jason rated it really liked it Sep 06, White Fang is treated badly and at times i Have you ever wondered what makes dogs and wolves so similar but different?
White Fang is treated badly and at times is severely almost abused to death. Since he is a wild wolf, he is more elusive than many dogs he is forced to fight with and is a lot tougher, which gives him the will to carry on without dying.
This was an amazing and emotional story to read. I think another theme is to never give up on yourself, because throughout the book White Fang stayed strong and loyal to each of his masters.

I think that this book was a cool one if u like dogs. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a leak an wilderness and animals. Feb 22, Hope Cannode rated it it was amazing. White Fang is half dog and half wolf. Growing up in the Yukon territory of Canada during the Klondike Gold Rush, he learned the law of the Wild at an early age: Separated from his mother and traded from master to master, White Fang never grasped the concept of love, and violence was all that he knew. Having no teacher, he learned the rules of survival by experience.
Then, a cruel man called Beauty Smith buys White Fang and turns him into a pit dog forced to fight for money. But after a while White Fangs gets saved by two men. One problem is that most of white fangs family died when he was young the solution is that he learned the law of the wild to hunt, or be hunted, to eat, or be eaten.unmardeposibilidades.es/modules/map25.php
The second problem is that White fang was used as a fighting dog the solution is that he got saved by to guys. Another problem is that White fang kept getting trade by all different kinds of people the solution is he gets saved by two men. I loved this book because it was exciting and your never knew what was going to happen next. My favorite part of the book is when White fang is about to die and 2 men rescue him and keep him as there own and never trades him for anything.
It was an awesome book and I would recommend it to everyone.

I feel like everyone should read this book. I think this book is valuable because it te The great illustrated classic of White Fang by Jack London is about a young wolf named White Fang. It also shows how poor treatment can drastically change an animal. I love this author's third person perspective because you hear the perspective of White Fang and his owners. I feel the part when White Fang is waiting outside of the saloon where Gray Beaver is trading things for whiskey is very slow.
I feel a connection to this book because I know how bad animal cruelty can affect an animal, and treating animals nicely can make a mean animal usually nicer. The voice of the author emphasizes his point that you should be nice to animals. This book is a great fast read if you want a meaningful book.
White Fang by Malvina G. Vogel
I would suggest this book to anyone that can handle some animal cruelty in books. I would agree with this book being a classic because it teaches a very valuable lesson that you should treat animals with respect like how you would like to be treated. Dec 02, Anna rated it liked it. The reason I gave it three stars is because I thought it would be a little different then what I have read before.
The book was good but it wasn't what I thought it would be like. I thought t would have just a little more action than what it did. This book was about a wolf named White Fang. White fang got his name when him and his mother found an Indian camp that had food that smelled and that Indian camp was were his mother grew up. He lived there for a while then the Indians left and found a different home where white fang ran off and set his jurney, near the end of the book he found a house where he kept warm that was were another owner came to own White Fang.
They became good friends and that was were White fang lived.

This book is all about a half dog and half wolf life and all of his adventures. It also talks about many owners he had and most of the owners were mean to him. In his family he was the only one who survived. His dad died and his mother navigate from the Mackenzie river. His brother was eaten by other animals. I love dogs-that's why I picked up the book. I totally liked this book because it is an adventure book. But, if I have to change something I would change that the father didn't die.
