And secondly, we have another category of experiences that are intrinsically distinct from this first category. We experience some thing that seem by all accounts to be quite personal and secret, unknown to any other conscious being than ourselves, hidden and private experiences of which only we are aware. Our thoughts are such experiences, our emotions and our desires, our dreams and our memories, our intuitions and our imagination.
All these things we experience alone and in solitude.
Robert Lanza - BIOCENTRISM
They jointly constitute the second category of experiences that we know. Again, I can proceed at length to justify this conclusion too, but I feel like it should not be necessary. Do not all of us have this same dual set of experiences? Do we not all exist in these same two realms at once? Is anyone lacking one of these categories of experience? Has anyone some other kind of experience which belongs to neither of these categories? I realise of course that there are some grey areas where our experiences may seem possibly to have some crossover characteristics.

But if I am categorising experiences, I am not concerned with the details of their origins but only the nature of how we can identify them as they occur in our consciousness. So the crossover is not an important detail. For example, when we experience fear, the essence of it belongs to the Realm of the Mind, but we can feel a physiological factor too, the flow of adrenalin providing excitement or dread, and there are behavioural experiences that may be shared by others.
People may see us quivering and looking nervous or stressed. But fear is a complex experience with many elements. If we examine the experience carefully, we can probably distinguish which experiences are hidden and which are shared. Do we live in two distinct realms of experience? Yes, we clearly do. Our shared experiences seem to take place in a realm of objects in space, but our hidden experiences have no spatial qualities and may not be described as objects. Rather, they are all more of the nature of events in time; they are activities and on-going processes. It seems that the Realm of the Mind exists exclusively in Time while the Realm of the World exists primarily, if not exclusively, in Space.
Thus, our thoughts have no shape or size, no location or number, no inside or outside; but our shared experiences DO have these qualities. What you describe above are experiences associated with the mind, instinct and with that influencing factor we call Ego. These are all physical levels of consciousness. There are other levels of consciousness associated with the inner force or your spirit or the God Force that is within your being. If you can learn to live in spirit or in grace and be able to shut off you mind and the thoughts in your head, you can then experience the spiritual levels of your consciousness.
These levels allow you to see the incredible intelligence, creativity, consciousness, purpose, meaning, etc that went into the creation not man-made creations by the way of everything around you and you begin to see the Creator in its creations. This is when you enjoy being who you are, you love to share with others, etc and you enjoy being here and a part of it all.
It is an incredible feeling and experience!! This is what is meant — the kingdom of God is within you or it should have been —the Universal Force or Cosmic or God Force, etc is within your being. This is what Einstein and Tagore were trying to discover at their meeting in Christianity has the statement in the Bible, but no one seems to know of the origin or real meaning, hence no one was able to help Mother Teresa to find and experience it.
Leo Tolstoy and Mahatma Gandhi wrote each other about it but not sure if either or both found the answer. I agree with you in principle, Lloyd, but I must question a few points. And if so, do you deny the existence of a non-physical mind and consciousness? I think this is our first discussion and we must consequently drudge our way through the process of learning each others terminologies. In the end of this, we may find that we understand our existence in very similar ways but from differing language contexts.
That is to say, we do not experience spirit or God; rather we are spirit, we are God. And further, you see, I do not believe that the thing that experiences, by which I mean consciousness, can itself be experienced. I call it a unitive experience because unlike normal experience there is no duality of subject and object; rather, the subject and object are one, without other. Experience is by nature a duality of subject and object whereas being existence is an absolute unity, a one without other unum sine altera , inaccessible to any normal experience.
By virtue of this unitive experience, I know precisely what you mean when you talk of knowing all the wonder of creation, and the joy of life and being. You and I are intrinsic parts of the whole, we are the universe. The universe is made of conscious beings, from the tiniest quantum particles to the most wide-spread galactic superclusters, all of us conscious beings. It is by experience that we drink the universe of other conscious beings into ourselves and by action that we broadcast our own being to all other conscious beings who share our part of the whole.
Obviously, I was chosing to take a more sedate approach in my opening post, but since you seem to be a fellow mystic, I will dare to give expression to these truths we may both share.
My Journey Beyond The Limitations Of My Mind To Cosmic Consciousness
Even so, I hope to return to my initial post with you and clarify our places of confusion. It is important for both of us that we learn how to express as clearly as possible the visions we have been gifted and the insights that have been born of them. We need to keep this discussion as simple as possible so all people can begin to understand.
When I refer to physical levels of consciousness, I am not referring to anything materialistic. We consider sleeping, waking and dreaming as being physical levels of consciousness and in these our mind and the thoughts in our heads and the need for instinctive responses we make at times are all involved. These are invisible but we do experience them.
Similarly we have spiritual levels of consciousness which lie silently within our being and we have not been taught about them because not many people are aware of their presence, hence they cannot teach others about something they themselves are unaware of. There is a Universal or Divine or Cosmic Force throughout the Universe and within each living life-form. It is the Force that selected the sperm and egg to create the unique you. It is the Force that switches on and off the genes that give you your features, etc throughout your life.
Your parents had very little to do with your fetal development, etc. This Force will stay silently in your being and will serve your desires be they good or bad until your body dies and then it returns from whence it came. We can all experience this silent, intelligent, creative and invisible Force if we are willing to learn how to do so. It is real and you have to go beyond your mind to experience it as your life pulse or life throb.
It is not your heartbeat. Again the Psalm failed to explain what the statement means or its origins. When you are sound asleep and your mind and thoughts are silent and out of the picture, it is your Cosmic Spirit that keep your body functioning and all of the critical processes working throughout your life and also to sustain you until you wake up. Just as it Presence in the Universe is invisible, it is also invisible in your being but it is there as long as you are alive. There is much more we can discuss here but I would like to suggest you get a copy of my new book and read it.
Thank you for your interest. I can see that we very clearly are in the same space as far as our beliefs, and it is only our language in describing our beliefs that separate us and keep us apparently confused. Similarly we have spiritual levels of consciousness which lie silently within our being and we have not been taught about them because not many people are aware of their presence.
Consciousness is that-which-experiences, the observer within. You know, we both speak English, but in essence we talk an entirely different language, and it will be entirely useless for us to try to share our views. Even though we have both experienced the same great Light of Truth. Thank you for responding to my posts anyway, and good luck here.
From recent fMRI analysis appears the associative cortex of our brains, some 70 billion neurons, use a specific network topology to share all for the good of all. Appears the evolution of our social experiments is trending towards this same network. That consciousness may be a means to facilitate mutually rewarding coexistence with other consciousnesses and that this be an algebraically delineated concept might be the cosmic force you and others have and will seek, welling up internally to manifest externally.
Every thing moves according to the shared principles of existence. My body-form is one among a million forms, all connected, all dancing to the same music. My conscious experience of aliveness is itself a manifestation of that which moves and creates everything. As my aliveness will ebb out, so will all aliveness ebb out.
Coming and going, it will all flow back. Life and death, coming and going is the music to which every thing dances joyfully. And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment. I am not the dancer, nor the music. I am the dance of creation, unfolding this experience. I am the dancing of the music. That is arguments about how to correctly separate this from that, one from many, physical from mental and so on and so forth. That is not knowing that all arguments, all theories and all truths are various forms of the same happening.
There is a seed — there is a plant, there is a hen — there is an egg, there is an opinion — there is an argument etc. Because of this, I have probably misinterpreted both the poem and the comments. Therefore, what my discursive self now writes will also be misinterpreted in various ways. I can visualize a realistic view of existence's totality from these ideas.
The author exposes the nitty-gritty of the complete microcosm of all reality in this one. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. About Shelly Stockwell Nicholas. Trivia About My Journey Beyond No trivia or quizzes yet. On Decoherence in Quantum Gravity. In his papers on relativity, Einstein showed that time was relative to the observer. This new paper takes this one step further, arguing that the observer creates it. The paper shows that the intrinsic properties of quantum gravity and matter alone cannot explain the tremendous effectiveness of the emergence of time and the lack of quantum entanglement in our everyday world.
Nobel Prize Winner E. Biocentrism shocked the world with a radical rethinking of the nature of reality … but that was just the beginning. The Biocentric Universe Theory: Stem-cell guru Robert Lanza presents a radical new view of the universe and everything in it. A New Theory of the Universe: Biocentrism builds on quantum physics by adding life to the equation.
A new theory asserts that biology, not physics, will be the key to unlocking the deepest mysteries of the universe. Now a pioneer in the field of stem cell research has weighed in with an essay that brings biology and consciousness into the mix. How biology is central to constructing a more complete and unified theory of the Universe. Robert Lanza in this paradigm-shifting hour. Lanza provides a compelling argument for consciousness as the basis for the universe, rather than consciousness simply being its by-product. Then why does Robert have to say it at all? It is because we, the physicists, do NOT say it—or if we do say it, we only whisper it, and in private—furiously blushing as we mouth the words.
True, yes; politically correct, hell no! You should enjoy this book, and it should help you on your personal journey to understanding. This new theory is certain to revolutionize our concepts of the laws of nature for centuries to come. His theory of biocentrism is consistent with the most ancient traditions of the world which say that consciousness conceives, governs, and becomes a physical world. Now, mind you, my motivation was not all that pure. It was my intention to read the book so I could more effectively refute it like a dedicated physicist was expected to.
I consider myself to be firmly and exclusively entrenched in the cosmology camp embodied by the likes of Stephen Hawking, Lisa Randall, Brain Greene, and Edward Witten. After all, you know what Julius Caesar said: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. It became necessary to penetrate the biocentrism camp. The book had the completely opposite effect on me. The views that Dr.
See a Problem?
Lanza presented in this book changed my thinking in ways from which there could never be retreat. Before I had actually finished reading the book, it was abundantly obvious to me that Dr. Everything I had learned and everything I thought I knew just exploded in my mind and, as possibilities first erupted and then settled down, a completely new understanding emerged. The Father of Modern Behaviorism. I spent a couple of years rolling pennies and eating canned spinach and pasta while I tried to understand the universe. The h-index measures both the productivity and impact of a scientist or scholar.
A value of about 18 could mean a full professorship, 15—20 could mean a fellowship in the American Physical Society, and 45 or higher could mean membership in the United States National Academy of Sciences. According to Hirsch who put forward the h-index , an h index of 20 is good, 40 is outstanding, and 60 is truly exceptional. What sustains us in and above the void of nothingness? New experiments suggest part of us exists outside of the physical world.
